The source shared the render series of none other than Steve Hemmerstoffer, also known as OnLeaks. They show that the OnePlus 9 Pro will be equipped with a curved screen with a punch hole design, “mole” located in the upper left corner to accommodate the single selfie camera.
Actually, the screen design of this handset has not changed too much compared to the OnePlus 8 Pro, but the size is different. According to leaked sources, OnePlus 9 Pro will be equipped with a 6.55 inch screen, even smaller than its predecessor. This was quite unexpected and led to speculation that OnePlus might launch another model with a larger screen size.
Moving to the back, the OnePlus 9 Pro looks like a copy of the Galaxy S20 FE. The rear camera cluster has been moved to the upper left corner just like the OnePlus 8T, which has a total of four sensors – including two larger and two made smaller, as well as an LED flash. Even so, the phone has a glass rather than a plastic back like the Galaxy S20 FE.
Steve says that the design is still in the prototype stage, albeit almost “final”. Of course, OnePlus can still make some changes, especially with the camera cluster design.
OnePlus 9 Pro has a notification slider and power button on the right edge, while the left edge is where the volume up and down keys are located. The device has an external speaker, a USB-C port and a SIM tray on the bottom edge.
Sources sharing the series of renderings say the OnePlus 9 Pro will be released in March 2021 as previously reported. The device will use Snapdragon 875 – the upcoming high-end processor from Qualcomm, and pre-installed Android 10 operating system right from the factory.
