LG Wing owns 6.8-inch P-OLED main screen, with curved edges on the sides and Full HD + resolution, an aspect ratio of 20.5: 9. Users just need to swipe left to rotate the screen of the device 90 degrees, thereby revealing the secondary screen below.
Unlike the main screen, the secondary screen is 3.9 inches smaller, uses a G-OLED panel and has Full HD + resolution, an aspect ratio of 1.15: 1. To add a unique touch to the device, LG also uses a pop-out module to accommodate the 32MP selfie camera located at the top of the device.
With its dual-monitor design, LG Wing can run two apps at the same time and display them independently on main and secondary monitors. Users can completely navigate the drive or watch videos on the main screen, at the same time text, call or control the music player in the secondary screen. Especially, with some apps / games that support multi-screen like Asphalt, you can use the main screen to play the game and the secondary screen to display the map of the track.
More importantly, the LG Wing’s secondary display can also be used as a dedicated handle while in Gimbal mode. According to the announcement from LG, the hinge mechanism of this phone has a durability of up to 200,000 times, which means that even when rotating the screen 100 times a day, it will take 5 years to start degrading.
LG Wing is powered by mid-range Snapdragon 765G processor from Qualcomm, has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal memory. The device comes with a 4000mAh capacity battery, supports QC4.0 + fast charging and wireless charging. In addition, it is also integrated fingerprint sensor under the screen and supports 5G network connectivity.
Moving to the back, LG Wing owns 3 camera system arranged vertically and placed in the top left corner. The rear camera cluster includes a 64MP main sensor, a 13MP ultra wide-angle camera and a “Big Pixel” ultra-wide-angle camera with 12MP resolution. The phone has physical dimensions of 169.5 x 74.5 x 10.9 mm and weighs 260 grams.
As expected, LG Wing will be sold in the US through Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile. Currently, the price and release time of the LG Wing has not been disclosed, but some sources said it will be available in the US for about 1000 USD.
