Suggestions for optimizing FPS when playing PUBG Mobile
As you can see in the FPS table, the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra when playing PUBG Mobile has the lowest average frame rate of 38.7. The reason is because the Graphics settings in the game are set to UltraHDR (prioritizing image quality and detail) and the Frame Rate is Extremely High (equivalent to 40 FPS).
If you want to maximize FPS when playing PUBG Mobile on Huawei Pura 70 Ultra, I recommend that you reduce the Graphics settings to HDR and push the Frame Rate in the game to Extreme (equivalent to 60 FPS).
I tried measuring FPS when playing PUBG Mobile on Huawei Pura 70 Ultra with 2 different settings, the device now achieved an average frame rate of 38.7 and 59.5 respectively.
Some of my comments
After performing the review, I found that the performance score that Kirin 9010 showed through the tests was at an acceptable level. But when it comes to actual gaming, what Huawei Pura 70 Ultra shows is completely different.
Huawei Pura 70 Ultra with Kirin 9010 chip can play popular games with maximum graphics settings (except Lien Quan Mobile). In more detail, League of Legends: Wild Rift and PUBG Mobile (HDR, Extreme FPS) both give very high average FPS (90.5 and 59.5 respectively).
Huawei Pura 70 Ultra can play League of Legends Wild Rift with an average frame rate of more than 90 FPS. However, Lien Quan Mobile does not seem to be optimally optimized for Huawei Pura 70 Ultra as this game does not support 60 FPS settings even though the device’s configuration parameters completely do this. In the FPS measurement table, Huawei Pura 70 Ultra when playing Lien Quan Mobile only achieved an average FPS of 45.4. Although the FPS chart does not show large fluctuations (pink line), I noticed that the device stuttered during combat phases and movements in the game were not smooth. It seems that Lien Quan Mobile is not optimized for Huawei Pura 70 Ultra so the device does not support setting a frame rate of 60 FPS. For two graphics-heavy games like Honkai: Star Rail, Genshin Impact, the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra experiences lag and generates more heat on the four sides of the device when I adjust the graphics to the highest level and play for a while. long time.
In more detail in Honkai: Star Rail’s FPS chart, the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra dropped frames after playing for about 8 – 9 minutes (the device dropped from ~ 40 – 50 FPS to ~ 20 – 30 FPS). . Besides, the fact that the device radiates a lot of heat on the four sides also somewhat affects the experience of holding the device when playing games.
Therefore, we can consider reducing the graphics in the game to medium or low levels to limit the above situation. When it comes to the holding experience, as I shared in the article , the four sides and four corners of the device are heavily curved, giving it a very comfortable, huggable feeling.
