As I shared in the Sony Xperia 10 VI performance review , the manufacturer does not focus too much on performance factors but instead on the product’s battery life. So what is the battery life of the Sony Xperia 10 VI? To find the answer, in today’s article, I will evaluate the Sony Xperia 10 VI battery with real-life tasks and the conditions I share in detail below.
Let’s verify the battery life of the Xperia 10 VI. In the Xperia 10 VI battery review, I did two parts including:
- Battery evaluation with 4 actual usage tasks rotating (from 100% to 0%).
- Measure the time it takes to fully charge the device’s battery (from 0% to 100%).
Before starting, I will summarize the Xperia 10 VI configuration parameters based on information from Sony’s homepage :
- Screen: 6.1 inch size, OLED panel, FHD+ resolution (2,520 x 1,080 pixels), 60 Hz scan frequency, 120 Hz touch sampling rate.
- CPU: Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1.
- GPU: Adreno 710.
- RAM: 8 GB
- Internal memory: 128 GB, supports expansion via microSDXC memory card up to 1.5 TB.
- Battery: 5,000 mAh, supports fast charging via USB Power Delivery (USB PD).
- Operating system: Android 14.
Xperia 10 VI is equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery similar to its predecessor Xperia 10 V.
Procedure for performing battery assessment
Standards for performing a battery assessment with 4 rotating actual usage tasks (from 100% to 0%)
- Experience 4 rotating tasks:
- Play Lien Quan (set the graphics to the maximum level that the device supports as shown below)
- Watch videos on YouTube.
- Use Facebook.
- Watch videos on TikTok.
This is the graphics setting that I adjusted in Lien Quan Mobile to evaluate the Xperia 10 VI battery.
- Each task takes 1 hour.
- Rotate tasks from 100% to 0%.
- The device only uses 1 task and has no multitasking applications running in the background.
- The device has a SIM card and network connection, but only uses Wi-Fi connection throughout the review.
- Screen brightness 100%, turn off automatic brightness adjustment feature.
- Turn on the speakerphone at 50% volume.
- Do not turn on STAMINA mode (this is battery saving mode), do not turn on GPS and Bluetooth.
I did not turn on STAMINA Mode (or we can say battery saving mode) on the Xperia 10 VI throughout the process of performing the battery test with 4 rotating real-life usage tasks.
Battery review results
The results I obtained are as shown in the image below, the 5,000 mAh battery of the Xperia 10 VI can operate continuously for 12 hours and 13 minutes for 4 rotating tasks.

Battery charge time of Sony Xperia 10 VI
Standards for measuring the time it takes to fully charge the battery (from 0% to 100%)
Sony has not announced the official charging capacity of the Xperia 10 VI and according to the information I consulted from the GSMArena site , the device seems to support The maximum charging capacity is 21 W similar to the predecessor Xperia 10 V.
Therefore, to measure the time to fully charge the battery of Xperia 10 VI (charging from 0% to 100%), I used the Ugreen charging cable and charger. Ugreen 100 W is intended to replace the genuine Sony 30 W USB-C charger.
This is a genuine Sony XQZ-UC1 30W charger and cable set, but I currently do not have these two accessories. Source: Sony.
Therefore, I will use the Ugreen 100 W charger and the Ugreen charging cable to measure the time it takes to fully charge the Xperia 10 VI’s battery. Below are the conditions in the Xperia 10 VI battery charge time test:
- The machine is powered on.
- The device has a SIM card and network connection, but only uses Wi-Fi connection throughout the review.
- The device connects to the network and receives notifications normally.
- Charge continuously from 0% to 100% and do not use the device during charging.
- Turned off the “Use Battery Care” feature to prioritize fully charging the device’s battery to 100%.

The result is that it took me 1 hour and 46 minutes to fully charge the 5,000 mAh battery of the Xperia 10 VI (charging from 0% to 100%).

Some of my comments
Throughout the process of evaluating the battery of the cycle, the Xperia 10 VI can operate continuously for 12 hours and 13 minutes, and this number is higher than the 11 hours and 27 minutes of its predecessor .
Throughout the process of using the Xperia 10 VI, I noticed that the device’s battery life can be up to nearly 2 days, exactly like what Sony shared. The detailed table of rotating task battery results shows that the Xperia 10 VI only consumes an average of about 7% of the battery for each task in the first 4 hours (I added the percentage consumed by each task in the first 4 hours and divided take the average). During the next 4 hours and the remaining 4 hours and 13 minutes of the battery review, the Xperia 10 VI also consumed an average of about 7.75% and 10.25% battery. In particular, playing Lien Quan Mobile for 1 hour consumes the most battery with about 10% battery consumption.
Throughout the process of evaluating the battery of the I think that the Xperia 10 VI’s long battery life may be because the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor does not consume too much power. This is also partly shown by the fact that the device did not experience heat throughout the process of conducting the battery review.
Besides, part of the reason may come from the fact that the Xperia 10 VI is equipped with an Android operating system with little customization and limited background tasks. Xperia 10 VI with Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip has the ability to optimize power consumption very well, without draining much battery when I use the device to play games.
Talking more about the battery charging speed of Xperia 10 VI, this is the factor that makes me dissatisfied with the product because the device’s battery needs 1 hour and 46 minutes to fully charge the battery from 0% to 100%.
This will cause some inconvenience in cases where you need to use the device urgently. In fact, the charging waiting time above is not too different from the time I evaluated the Xperia 10 V battery, the device needed 1 hour and 49 minutes to fully charge the battery from 0% to 100%. When I looked at the results of the battery charge time table (from 0% to 100%) in the Xperia 10 VI review of GSMArena, they also had to wait nearly 2 hours (specifically 1 hour 53 minutes).
This timeline is not too different from the Xperia 10 V, specifically 1 hour 58 minutes. Therefore, I hope the next Xperia 10 model (possibly Xperia 10 VII) will be equipped with fast charging with higher capacity by Sony.
